Aurora Park to Host Community Blood Drive

East Aurora, NY – On Thursday, August 5th, Absolut Care of Aurora Park (292 Main Street) will host a community blood drive to benefit Upstate New York Transplant Services (UNYTS).
By giving blood through Upstate New York Transplant Services you are making sure that your family, friends, neighbors and other members of your community have blood available when they need it. Donating blood is fast, easy and virtually pain-free. Thousands of people donate numerous times during the year and with less than an hour of their time, thousands of lives are saved and bettered. All donations to UNYTS stay local and bring a significant savings to area hospitals.
Donors must be at least 17 years old or 16 with a signed parental consent form. Donors must weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be in good health the day of the drive. Photo identification is required and walk-ins always welcome. All donors will receive a coupon for a free Pizza Plant pod. Take the time to donate blood and make a difference in someone’s life!
