Easter Fun

We had a blast celebrating Easter with our residents and their families at each of our 12 facilities. There were so many special activities that took place and even a few visits from the Easter Bunny himself!

Residents kicked off the festivities by doing a variety of crafts. They made everything from hand-made cards to send their loved ones, to decorations for the halls, and even Easter bonnets. They were beyond excited to kick the celebrations into high gear and spend some time with their friends and family. Some locations even got some one on one time with baby bunnies, chicks, and ducks when our friends at Springtime Baby Animals came to visit. Our celebrations included a variety of treats and entertainment, where guests enjoyed live music and some quality time with the Easter Bunny.

Extra ‘Hoppy” Tales

Each year we host a Free Easter Egg Hunt at Aurora Park for residents and the community to enjoy. This year we were joined by Mix 96 Buffalo who helped us kick things off with over 2,500 eggs. Guests also enjoyed bounce houses, giant slides, inflatable obstacle courses, games, face painting, and much more.

Another great story from Easter was when Valley Preschool joined Houghton for an Easter celebration complete with dying eggs, planting marigolds, and singing songs. To see photos from their visit, you can visit our Facebook Page.

Endicott took their celebration one step further and used it as a cause for good. All throughout the month of April, residents and staff were raffling off Easter baskets to benefit the Alzheimer’s Walk on April 29th. This is a cause that is very near and dear to all of our hearts and it was so nice to see all of the winners receive their baskets during the Easter party.

We love getting to spend such special days with our residents and their smiles make it all worth it. We are so lucky to have great activity directors and staff at each location that make it all the more fun!
