Absolut Care of Dunkirk is a small and homelike 40-bed facility specializing in short-term
rehabilitation and long-term skilled nursing care. Located at 447 Lake Shore Drive West in the picturesque city of
Dunkirk, our one-floor facility has been providing quality care and services to the residents of Northern Chautauqua
County for more than 40 years. Absolut Care of Dunkirk offers its residents companionship and comfort.Our talented staff is committed to a philosophy of care which preserves human dignity and the right of individuals to maintain their freedom of choice. Private and semi-private accommodations are available. Residents are encouraged to personalize their surroundings with cherished mementos and favorite possessions from home. The building layout provides a safe, comfortable and secure environment with easy accessibility. We combine the highest caliber of professional therapists with a philosophy of compassion and genuine concern in a progressive rehabilitation program in speech, occupational, respiratory, and physical therapies. Our full-time licensed therapists design, monitor and evaluate each resident's rehabilitation program. In addition, the staff walks with residents, performs range of motion exercises, and assists with programs to help residents maintain their strength and endurance. Absolut Care of Dunkirk Rehab staff also provides Anodyne Therapy to improve circulation and relieve pain while our full-time Rehab Services are directed by a doctor of Physical Therapy. Other important support services to improve the quality of life for our residents include Speech Therapy and Social Services. Our Nutritional Services are supervised by a Registered Dietitian, provided in a "Restaurant Style" Dining Room and include Specialized Dietary Services, Guest Meals and Private Parties. Our 24-hour Skilled Nursing Care is provided by licensed and certified staff and our facility features 4 Private and 18 Semi-private nicely decorated, airy rooms with large windows. Absolut Care of Dunkirk Business Office can provide residents with assistance with applying for Medicaid, if needed. |
