Driving has become a key factor of independence in our society today. It seems to be second nature for most adults today. Unfortunately, there may come a time when a loved one’s ability to continue driving comes into question. We are pleased to incorporate a driving simulator into our rehabilitation program. Our Response TM Driving Simulator is used for testing individuals’ perception and reaction time. The system utilizes a steering wheel, accelerator and brake pedal as well as a computer monitor to simulate the driving experience. Our staff will provide patients, family members and physicians with a detailed report of reaction times, which is useful in making the final decision regarding the ability to drive.
