To our incredible and devoted health care team –
For nearly a year, you have stared bravely into the face of a global enemy. You have shown up, stepped up and given in ways that few others have.
This pandemic has been a measure of true character, a reflection of dedication, integrity and resilience on what seems to be a never-ending journey.
Perhaps, more than in any other profession, you have witnessed the consequences of this aggressive virus. It goes without saying that you are among the most dedicated, selfless and inspirational people we know!
You have worked hard, fought back tears and forged ahead to provide the best possible care to the residents you love so dearly.
While daily news reports focus on the numbers, as health care providers, you have experienced first-hand the true meaning that they hold. The residents are like family to you. You have lovingly cared for them for months, years and sometimes even decades. When they hurt, you hurt, and when one of them passes you weep.
Although it’s been a long year, this chapter will end, and when it does, you will be able to look back with pride on the role you played to save lives and protect the health of the most vulnerable.
We couldn’t be more proud to work side-by-side with such an outstanding group of caregivers and professionals. We have nothing but the highest respect for the job you’ve done and continue to do.
While saying thank you simply doesn’t seem like enough, we offer it with heartfelt sincerity. You are unequivocally deserving of this praise – THANK YOU FOR BEING YOU.
